Associates and Staff

Associates

Associate Members are registered volunteers who contribute in many ways to the ministry of MMM International.

MMM Associates offer a wide range of skills and abilities. Our Associate workforce of men and women is a growing and vital part of MMM, working in partnership with Staff Members to achieve a larger work program each year.

Involvement ‘on the job’ can be in different ways. It may include building construction, maintenance, painting, mechanical or appliance repairs, office work, cooking for work teams or general handyman jobs. Associates discover a fulfilling role through their practical assistance to others.

Affiliation as an Associate Member is renewable every two years.

Associates join a Workteam with Mission staff members. Some travel interisland or overseas, under qualified leadership, with a short term team of volunteers for a particular project. Others are capable of leading a Workteam, and take full responsibility of a project under the direction of the Mission. Some Associates have made themselves available for a specific trade or technical skill when required. Others make regular visits to an MMM Centre where they assist with property and office tasks.

Some are members of the MMM New Zealand Board. There are others who act as conveners or regularly participate in Prayer groups.

Being an MMM Associate offers involvement on work projects, great fellowship with other members, regular information and news of the Mission and work projects, plus attendance at the national MMM Conferences.

Staff Members

Staff Members are those who have been commissioned by their own church fellowships in response to a clear calling by God and serve with MMM in a full or permanent part time capacity. Some work in the building and maintenance areas while others work in administration. Each has a particular ability, skill, etc.

Most Staff Members are supported financially as God prompts their commissioning church, family and friends while others are self funded either fully or partially.

The Mission’s administration, in recognition of a member’s abilities, assigns the member to the most suitable field of service.

An overseas appointment is subject to an initial service period within New Zealand.
