Who Do We Help?
Once the Mission became established in Australia, it became obvious that the initial response to ‘building and maintenance needs of Australian Outback Mission Stations’ needed to be much wider and to encompass a far greater range of Christian ministry.
It would have been very easy, in response to the increasing calls for assistance, for MMM to lose sight of the initial vision. To prevent this occurring, Applications for the assistance of an MMM team are considered on the basis of the significnace and the potential for effectiveness of the applicant’s ministry for the sake of the Kingdom. Each applicant is to be assessed on their own merits rather than by what ‘type’ of ministry they are.
The key types of ministries which MMM seeks to assist are those involved in one or more of the following areas:
- Evangelism/Outreach: Ministries whose primary focus is sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
- Encouragement/Support: Ministries such as MMM which have a specific ministry of supporting and encouraging other ministries.
- World Missions: Ministries which are taking on the vital role of taking the good news of jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.
- Training/Mobilising: Preparing people for ministry or motivating them to get involved in the Great Commission.
