Your Project
The purpose of MMM International is to build, renovate and maintain properties and facilities used in conjunction with Christian activities.
Men and women of all ages volunteer their time to become involved. Working together, they bring a variety of abilities which blend to create a combined team ministry. Their help enables building projects to be undertaken economically, because labour is given free of charge to the organisations we assist.
The aim is to work alongside the local community to encourage and support them in their building project, rather than doing all the work. Our commitment to the development of Christian outreach is widespread, with MMM Centres around the world and throughout Australia as well as in New Zealand. Teams of volunteers are formed to undertake work projects in other countries.
The influence of MMM is far more than an industrious taskforce. The love of God is displayed in a practical way.
The process of application
Contact the MMM Centre at Pirongia to discuss your work application and to request an Application for Assistance form.
Complete and return the Application for Assistance form to the MMM Centre. It is helpful to us if you provide as much information as possible. This will assist in advertising for a team and to prepare them for their participation.
The Application for Assistance will be assessed and if accepted will be scheduled into the MMM work program. You will be kept informed and notified in writing.
We will then liaise with you further as we prepare a team for the project.
What is expected from the Applicant Group
- To allow MMM an opportunity to promote the ministry of MMM with your members and friends.
- That plans and working drawings are drawn up by the Applicant Group.
- That the project have all the necessary permits and approval from local government bodies.
- Finances to cover the cost of materials for the project and in particular supply of building materials for the team.
- The work site must be covered under insurance.
- Purchase and supply of all materials for the project before the team arrives.
- It is expected that local people will work along side the MMM Team. The main aim of MMM is to encourage local people and work alongside them rather than doing all the work alone.
- We do encourage the Applicant Group to provide accommodation and meals as much as is possible. This should be discussed with your nearest MMM Centre Office.
- We encourage the Applicant Group to involve the MMM team in their ministry in some way (e.g. attend church, presentations, fellowship meals).
How we prepare for the team’s arrival
- Dates will be set jointly with the Applicant Group.
- We will gather a team. Advertisements for volunteers are placed in our publications. We may need up to a couple of months to prepare for and form a team depending when the approval is made.
- We will arrange with the Applicant Group for team needs such as accommodation, meals, tools, travel, and so on.
- A Team Leader is appointed to co-ordinate the team. There may also be a person appointed to co-ordinate the project.
During the project
Morning tea is a special time of each day in the life of MMM teams worldwide. As well as refreshments, a devotional prayer time is held, to which the Applicant’s members are welcome. Generally the duration, including refreshments, is 20-30 minutes.
Fellowship meals with members of the Applicant Group will promote good interest and support of the project as it proceeds and foster a greater commitment to your ongoing ministry.
Financially
Financially the Applicant is under no obligation to MMM International for labour donated, as it is MMM’s God-given vision to build and renovate to assist the spread of the Gospel.
MMM and its staff are supported by freewill donations as God prompts people to give. If you do choose to support MMM and its workers, gifts should be sent to the MMM Centre.
Upon completion of your project
We would value your regular prayer support as our ministry continues to reach out to others in need.
Our prayer is that God will bless your ministry, and that what we have done for the expansion of your ministry will result in the extension of God’s Kingdom.
How will this project benefit you
- This project will expand and improve your own facilities.
- The project could bring your members, interested friends and supporters together as they focus on the expansion of your ministry to achieve a common goal.
- It may encourage involvement, either physically by working alongside our team, in prayer or financially.
- It will provide an opportunity for practical people to have a role in a spiritual ministry.
